More on manifesting: Creating Our Own Reality

I know it may sound farfetched to say that we all have the ability to create our own reality but based on my experience, I do believe we are all creators. Think of your life as a film strip. There are numerous options for how the movie of your life can play out. For example life would have been different if you took that job instead of the other job, or went to that college instead of the other college. You can also use a tree as an example where there are many branches of a tree that symbolize the different realities our life can take. These different optional realities are called timelines or parallel realities.

When we work on ourselves by releasing negative beliefs, and we start to focus on high vibe emotions like gratitude and positive affirmations then what it's doing is allowing us to live in the better timeline. I use the words "better timeline" but actually no matter what we do, the soul will learn and grow through experience. Thus, humans can do no wrong. It's a strange concept but humans always learn in a lifetime. When I say better timeline I'm referring to the fact that things become easier and synchronicities start to occur. The reason this works is because of the universal law that says the energy you put out, you receive like a boomerang. Positive thoughts and energy attract more positive experiences.

The last couple years I was researching the purpose of life, which is to grow and evolve through experiences and incarnations. While I was learning about this, I subconsciously started working on myself in ways I didn't expect. As I was becoming more aware of my reality and who I am as a soul, I started to notice things about myself and the human species in general. One thing I started to do is observe my own thoughts. As I did this I noticed that many of my own thoughts were coming out in a negative and limiting way.

Even thoughts about very simple things seemed to automatically spew from my brain in a negative way. I'll give you a recent example. I was putting up my bird feeder that sticks to my window. It falls from time to time but I was using a hot water trick. Right after sticking it up to my window I thought to myself, I bet it will fall again. Why would I even think that? Why wouldn't I think, "It will stay up because everything always works out for me". Another example is if I'm going to a restaurant at a busy time, I may think, "I bet I won't find a parking spot", instead of the optimistic thought of "I always find a parking spot when I need one".

We are constantly limiting ourselves as humans. Instead of getting excited about something and feeling optimistic, we tend to protect ourselves and assume it won't work out. As children, our parents always said, "Watch out for cars, be careful of strangers, if you don't get A's in school you won't go to college, if you don't go to college you won't get a job....etc" so we grew up being afraid of the world. I'm not saying we should blame our parents. They grew up fearing the world as well. When you are in fear you stay in a box don't you, you stay in your comfort zone. This was totally understandable and acceptable for our parents' and grandparents' generations. The world was different. People were persecuted for wanting to be authentic and speak their minds, there were wars, discrimination, racism, and long term psychological effects from the Great Depression.

We are entering into a new era now. People are free and should be encouraged to be their authentic genuine selves. We are learning how to manifest and create our own realities now. We don't need to follow someone else's rules. We need to live by our own rules and what feels intuitively right for us. We need to follow our passions and purpose instead of sticking with a job just for the paycheck. I'm not saying to go out and quit your job immediately. I'm suggesting quieting your mind and figuring out what you like to do in your spare time. As you start to quiet your mind and question who you really are at the soul level, you will start to realize that you have gifts and skills you weren't aware of. This grows until one day you are following your passion and being paid for it, it's not work anymore. This may sound like a dream, but why? It's the limiting belief systems that always seem to creep in but we can work on that.

To circle back to the bird feeder situation that morning, when I observed my thoughts and noticed I was being negative and limiting, I laughed at the automatic response I had. I then said out loud, "Everything works out for me and I attract positive experiences and people to my life". It still feels strange for me to say out loud. Why is it so strange to say positive affirmations? It's because the human brain is conditioned to limit ourselves and think the worst will happen. Ask yourself if it feels more comfortable to say "Everything works out for me" or "Nothing works out for me". The first step is to just start observing your thoughts and becoming more self-aware.

Once we start observing, the key is to change our mindset to use optimistic affirmations. Even if you don't believe it, remember that thoughts and words have energy and at some point you will start to believe. It's a change in mindset and thought processing. You were taught at a young age to limit yourself for survival reasons. You don't need to do that anymore so you need to undo what you were told as a child. You can also use "what if" statements if that is more comfortable. Below are a few affirmations people can say out loud everyday.

"I attract abundance in my life"

"Wealth flows to me"

"I have unlimited potential"

"I believe in myself"

"I love myself unconditionally"

"My body is healing and becoming stronger everyday"

"My immune system is becoming stronger everyday"

"I have the ability to manifest and create my own reality"

"I attract positive experiences and people into my life"

"I will find a job that provides freedom, joy, and supports my passions"

"I release my limiting belief systems"

I've talked about manifestation a little bit in prior blog posts. Manifesting from the heart works much better than the brain. For example, "I want to manifest money for a new car to impress people" probably won't work. On the other hand, "I attract abundance so that I can live in freedom and joy" will work wonders. It also helps to say affirmations when you are feeling high vibe. You can use gratitude as a way to quickly raise your vibration. Either way, changing your thought process to be more optimistic will change you in a positive way no matter what. This is called perspective and perspective is a game changer in raising your vibration.

You may think this is all nonsense because we obviously can't manifest anything we want. I've thought about this and I would agree that if I wanted to play in the NBA tomorrow, that probably wouldn't happen. We all have optional paths and realities we can take dependent on what the soul wants to experience and the other humans on our path. We are part of a web of life so other people's decisions impact our life as well. But like I said, we have many different paths our life can take. There are some paths better than others so when we manifest and we raise our vibration, we are choosing the more positive path or optimal reality based on our own free will. The soul will enjoy the ride and learn from experiences no matter what path we take. But from the human perspective there's a more positive path we can take. Hopefully that makes sense.

To summarize, this is a challenge for everyone and takes time. As a human species we've been programmed over centuries to live in fear and survival mentality. That era is over now and humanity is entering into a new age. We all have purpose, skills, and gifts and are on the planet at this time for a reason. We are here to help the human species transform and evolve into something new, something better. My suggestion is to start small and observe your thoughts first. If you notice negative or limiting thoughts, say something kind about yourself, something you like about yourself. Self-love is a big piece to the puzzle. That will raise your vibration, and then say a positive affirmation. This is the path to changing your mindset and manifesting your reality.
