Are Angels Real?

When I first started researching near death experiences, I was literally reading hundreds of stories from a database. I guess with my IT background I became good at reviewing data. What I noticed was that there were so many accounts of people that witnessed angels. Since I was an atheist and skeptic for most of my life, I really struggled to get my head around this concept of angels. When I attended Suzanne Giesemann's mediumship class, I heard her talking about angels and I couldn't believe my ears. This ex navy commander was willing to put her whole reputation on the line and say that she believed angels are real....no, she said that she KNEW angels are real. I had to look into this and figure it out for myself.

I read a book called How To Chat with Archangels. The author said that all I had to do was invite the archangels into my life. So I did. Each night before I went to bed I would say, "archangels I invite you into my life, can you give me a sign you exist." I would feel a current of warm energy around my chest and head and I would hear a sign in my head. One time when I asked for a sign that angels were with me, the word "bat" was in my head. The next day my husband walked in the door with my toddler son after gym class and said the phrase, "Grayson hung like a bat from the bar". I couldn't believe it. Another time I asked for a sign I received the word "pink elephant" in my head. The next day I saw a pink elephant on the bathroom door of my daughter's preschool. This is called a sign game where you can sit quietly and ask the spirit realm for signs and wait for a word or image to pop into your head.

What I found out was that indeed angels are real. They are a race of beings that reside in a higher dimensional realm. They are very high vibrational beings. My understanding is that Angels were created to support humans because Earth is such a difficult planet to incarnate. There are also different types of angels. Specifically, I know that there are guardian angels, archangels, and "unemployed angels" that are around us all the time just to support humans that need help.

When we are born, we are assigned an angel to watch over us, a guardian angel. This guardian angel's job is basically to keep us alive until our planned exit point (planned death). This is why we sometimes read stories about people that are in car accidents and are miraculously saved, it's because it wasn't their planned time to leave the life. However, when it is our planned exit point then a guardian angel won't prevent the death. The soul chooses the exit points and an angel cannot get in the way of that soul plan.

There are also angels that are flying around us all the time. There's a woman named Lorna Byrne that can literally see angels. This goes back to my other posts where I talk about how some people are born with the ability to see higher dimensional beings. I do believe she's one of those people. She calls them "unemployed angels" because there are millions of angels on Earth to help us. The key is that we need to ask for their help and say it out loud. Higher dimensional beings are not supposed to get in the way of free will so we always need to ask for their help. I know that angels can hear our thoughts but I've heard we still need to ask for help out loud. For example all we have to do is say "Angels watch over my car while I drop my kids off" and they will protect our car. However, if it is in our soul plan to experience something then angels cannot get in the way of the soul plan.

There are also archangels which are very powerful beings. These are the angels we all know, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Metatron...etc. The book I mentioned above by Debra Schildhouse walks through 11 different archangels and descriptions of them. I'm not sure exactly how many archangels there are, I've heard different numbers. My understanding is that archangels are in leadership positions. They are very powerful beings and can be in multiple places at the same time. I've read that when there are larger catastrophes or natural disasters, archangels are leading armies of angels to support humanity. I was in a mediumship class where the teacher told us to do a meditation to review the scene from 9/11. When I did this meditation, I saw angels everywhere. They were helping the people on the day of 9/11 leave their body and go to the light. It's consistently stated by near death experiencers, mediums, and those under hypnosis that souls leave their body right before the impact of a painful death and oftentimes angels will help the spirit go to the light during these types of exits.

My understanding is that angels look like tall white energetic forms. They are in the state of very high vibrational energy so they don't look like a human. However if they show themselves to us then they will take a form we are comfortable with. I have heard that they don't actually have wings but because they are a tall bright white energy form it can look like they have wings. Below is a quote from the book, Angels in the OR. Tricia Barker was in a horrible car accident while in college. She explains that in the operating room after she was given anesthesia, she enters the blackness of sleep. She then says she isn't sure how long the doctors were working on her body before her spirit body popped out of her physical form. She says, "I felt incredible joy and awe knowing that an essential part of myself would never die. After joyfully contemplating this first discovery, I noticed two of the most intelligent beings I had ever encountered. The calm loving energy they possessed put me immediately at ease. They were very large, approximately eight or night feet, androgynous with shoulder length hair and composed more of light than solid form. The two angels sent waves of intense light, which transferred many messages to me all at once. The light emitted from the eyes of the angels flowed directly into my spirit body." She explains that in the operating room she saw the angels working through the doctors. She says that the angels beamed white light into her physical body healing her body.

There are many stories where people are helped by a stranger and that stranger disappears. Based on my understanding angels do have the ability to appear in a human form for a short time to help in certain situations. It sounds very strange and it's difficult to get our logical head around this but there are so many accounts of this happening. I'll provide a summary of a story that Suzanne Giesemann shares in the YouTube video below. She explains that she did a reading for a business man named John and she realized that Archangel Michael was there with them.

• John says, "Ask him if we ever met"

• Suzanne says, "Archangel Michael says yes you did meet"

• John says, "ask him what he was wearing"

• Suzanne says, "Archangel Michael says all white"

• John says, "ask him what he was carrying"

• Suzanne says, "he was only carrying a bible"

John explains to Suzanne that one night he was driving on a road out in nowhere and he was falling asleep at the wheel. John looks up and sees a lone man walking in all white, only carrying a bible. John pulls over to help the man. The man in white gets in the car and they end up talking about death and dying. John asks him where he's going. The man in white says "I'm headed to Vegas!" John explains that if he hadn't seen the man in white that he would have fallen asleep at the wheel. He says that once the man in white got out of the car he disappeared. Another interesting fact about angelic souls is that I do believe they can incarnate as a human. Dr Linda Backman talks about this in her books and on podcasts. She is a licensed psychologist and regression therapist that worked closely with Dr. Michael Newton. She says that she has had patients that were under hypnosis explaining that they are angelic souls. She says that humans that are angelic souls tend to be very innocent, the kindest people on this planet and very devoted to God. These souls also struggle on planet Earth due to the duality and conflict.

To end this post, I will say that I do believe angels are real now. When it first hit me, I was going around in shock, why aren't people talking about this all the time!
