The Matrix Movie vs Our Reality

I watched the movie The Matrix recently since the spiritual community often talks about how our reality is a matrix. I understand why they think this but I'm not fully on board with this comparison. Allow me to share my thoughts here.

I agree that there has been a small percentage of wealthy elites controlling our society. They are billionaires with their hands in the financial and fossil fuel organizations. The movie, The Matrix discusses the concept that we are all unknowingly in a system of slavery. I would absolutely agree with this. People often spend most their time in a job they aren't passionate about. They are working for a paycheck to survive, and then they spend very little time with their family and friends, and don't have time to follow their own passions. This keeps people in a zombie-like state just trying to survive instead of seeking joy.

This small group of elites have control over our political organizations and celebrity culture. War, finance, and fossil fuels rule the political scene, instead of a focus on peace, harmony, and supporting humanity and the planet. The negative emotions caused by politics are kept in the minds of humans through the use of the 24 hour mainstream news cycle. How often do you see news stories about humans and companies helping the planet? They are out there, just not seen on the news.

The motivation for politicians is to keep money in the hands of the wealthy since these wealthy few are the ones donating to campaigns. Many of these donors are fossil fuel aristocrats. There has also been a long running campaign to make people think that climate change isn't real. This was a calculated campaign by the fossil fuel industries as well as politicians that supported fossil fuels.

This small group of elites also use celebrity culture to create distractions and low vibe emotions among the public. For example the pressures in our world to be attractive and thin, promoting partying and alcohol among the youth, and then of course the shadow side like the sex trafficking situation.

Essentially humanity has turned into zombie-like workers watching mainstream media news, the toddler tantrums of our politicians, and the low vibe antics of celebrity culture. So, yea I agree with that perspective when people say we live in a matrix.

Nonetheless, we aren't controlled by AI robots in our reality; although, it's very important that humanity starts to better understand the universal truths of spirituality. We need to grow our understanding of spirituality in alignment with technology. AI isn't a danger, it's the people behind the AI that's the concern. We can use AI for the betterment of humanity, our society, and our planet but we have to choose this path.

As for spirituality, we are all very powerful souls that chose to incarnate into a human body for the learning and experience we gain from being on Earth. Our soul agrees to everything we experience so we aren't actually victims. Our true home is the spirit realm and this human experience is short term to learn through duality. We are all extensions of one Source and Creator so we are all connected through a web of life.

When we wake up to our reality, we can start to understand the rules of the game like Neo did. One key rule of our reality is that everything is energy and like attracts like. When we follow our passions, use positive affirmations, and connect with our soul, our energetic vibration starts to increase and things go our way. We learn how to manifest our reality because we are putting out high vibe energy into the universe and getting it back. I can attest this works because it's working for me.

I agree that historically we've been unknowingly living in a matrix-like reality, just trying to survive. However, we all have free will to break free from the matrix. I learned that death is an illusion and we don't actually die, we just leave the vehicle we are inhabiting. When you realize that death is an illusion then people can't control you anymore. Life is a fun game the soul plays for learning and evolution.

When I started meditating, I found the truth within. I remembered I was a soul and my memories of who I really was came back. I found peace within, used positive affirmations, and started following my passions. I realized I had free will to be my authentic self and when I did this, the universe had my back. I broke free from the matrix and so can you.
