How My Intuition Helped Me Catch Pre-Cancer

I used to follow a medium named Suzanne Giesemann, whom I’ve mentioned on my blog before. She’s a wonderful medium, and I used to take online mediumship classes with her. I hadn’t been following her as closely over the past year or so, but one day I happened to come across something about her monthly webinar. I “randomly” decided to pay the fee and join.
At the time, it didn’t really make sense. I wasn’t following her as much anymore, so I wasn’t sure why I felt compelled to join that particular webinar.
During the webinar, Suzanne shared a story about how she discovered a cancerous spot on her face. She initially thought it was nothing to worry about, but a doctor noticed it and they biopsied it. She ultimately had the cancerous spot cut out. Here’s one of her videos about her cancer if you’d like to watch it: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2991252054397662
As I was watching the webinar, I started thinking about a small spot on my nose that had been bothering me. It looked like a patch of dry skin that never seemed to heal. It was very small, and I had also assumed it was probably no big deal. But after hearing Suzanne’s story, I suddenly had the thought that I should make an appointment with a dermatologist and have it checked out.
I’m very glad I followed that intuition because the spot turned out to be a precancerous skin condition called actinic keratosis. According to the medical definition, actinic keratosis is a common precancerous skin condition that appears as rough, scaly, or gritty patches caused by long-term exposure to the sun.
Fortunately, treating it was very simple. The dermatologist sprayed the spot with liquid nitrogen, which freezes and destroys the abnormal cells. My skin was raw in that area for a little while, but the skin eventually grew back, and now you can’t even tell there was ever anything there.
I believe my spirit guides or higher self nudged me toward that Suzanne Giesemann webinar and then brought my own precancerous spot to my attention. To me, this is an example of how spirit communication can work. Rather than hearing a loud or obvious voice, we may simply be nudged in a certain direction or have a thought pop into our minds at just the right moment.
Of course, we always have free will. We can choose whether or not to follow those nudges. And sometimes, when our minds are constantly busy and distracted, it can be difficult to recognize or hear that subtle communication.
I’ve found that this type of intuitive communication becomes easier to notice as we learn to quiet our minds through practices like meditation, staying present, or spending time in nature. Sometimes the guidance may be subtle—a thought, a feeling, or a seemingly random impulse—but following it can lead us exactly where we need to go.
