Duality - Dark Versus Light

When researching purpose, consciousness, and spirituality, questions of why the dark exists inevitably comes up. Some may also call this concept polarity. Last year I was thinking a lot about this topic because I was waking up to the reality of our planet and some of the really dark stuff that happens in the shadows. There are a lot of podcasts exposing information and truth these days. You don't have to look far to find them.

This all had me questioning, should I just hide in a cave or a buddhist monastery in order to stay high vibe on this planet? How do I steer clear of all the darkness on this planet in order to hold and carry the light?

There was a time where I kept thinking, our planet just needs to ascend to a higher density and vibration then everything will be light. But even in my galactic incarnations on higher dimensional planets, there were still challenges, and so-called bad guys. I still had to learn through experiences. However, I will say that as the Earth ascends to a higher density and dimension, life will certainly get better and we will have more harmony and peace. Nonetheless, what I found is that there are always challenges in the universe. It really just depends on what the soul wants to experience.

As I continued to try to understand this topic, I was reading a book that said that it's important to not avoid the dark because that isn't healthy either. Repressing and avoiding feelings creates disease. So what I have gathered is that the universe was purposefully setup in a way where there would be the light and the dark in order for the soul to incarnate, learn, and grow. I then found myself asking, so what do we do with the dark?

During a channeling session with channeler Stephanie Banks, I asked if she could channel my higher self or spirit guides to explain what we do with the darkness when we are incarnated?

During the channeling my higher self said, "Make no mistake that my responsibility will always be to adjust and calibrate notches above whatever would be considered that which is dense, low, and heavy. There is good reason for this. Of course there will be plenty of times where I can clock myself being in the lower frequency and darkness. I have already had these years and I will have more of these years. This is what it means to be in the full experience, as you say so beautifully from your own....my own lips, holding darkness and light. It is an exchange. To be perfectly clear, the work is to find the place that is a notch above that which feels shadowed. The work has never been to ignore, depart from, or avert one’s gaze from that which is hard, heavy, sad, destructive, minimizing, or anything else of that nature."

Then my spirit guides stepped in during the channeling and said the following about humans trying to categorize good versus evil, "We are using the balance scales as your visual tool. So go ahead, let your mind divide things into two sides. Let’s go with good versus evil, it is the simplest, the easiest. Your mind will direct you quite quickly in what belongs where. For example the extra time it took to truly deeply listen to your child, spouse, or friend is a pebble to drop into the bowl of 'good' on the scale. And that moment in time where you ignored your need for solace, peace, and instead pushed beyond your limits, that would not go into the 'good' category. It seems a stretch to go into evil but we will call that 'bad'. There you are, go through your days, add tick marks on paper, and you will find if you are actually counting, there is a natural even-ing up in a life where awakening occurs."

I think there are two points here. The first point from my higher self is suggesting that I try to stay high vibe most of the time. For me this means meditating daily (if possible), exercising, and using positive affirmations. This may be different for everybody. When I do feel down or tired of being a human, I have tools to get back into the light. That's the key here is that human life will never be high vibe all the time so when life becomes challenging it's important to have tools. Tools can be journaling, meditating, therapy sessions, walking in nature, doing the things we love, or just taking a break to care for ourselves. Everyone will have different tools. Everyone should find what works for them.

The second point my guides are referring to is the way humans like to categorize good versus bad. The answer they provided is that we flow in and out of what some would call good versus bad even in an awakened life. But honestly trying to categorize good versus bad all day sounds exhausting and pointless which is what they were getting at. For example people that are watching the news all day and trying to judge good versus bad, that is not a beneficial use of your energy. Of anything this is just distracting you from finding your own purpose, passion, and happiness.

Also we can define good versus bad on so many different belief systems of what we have been told by parents, grandparents, religion, and society, but I'm not sure this is always truth. This categorization usually comes from someone's perspective but isn't that always a one-sided perspective? Do we ever get to know the perspective of the bad guy? Someone turns into a bad guy because they themselves were likely abused at some point, and they forgot who they are as a soul. Per my spirit guide in a channeling, we all forget who we are as a soul sometimes, it's part of the human experience. Some just get pulled into the human ego more than others in some lives. The soul is never "bad". A person is just playing the role of a "bad guy".

Of course I still believe that people that cause death and destruction in our society should be incarcerated. A society should still protect peace and harmony. As a collective, we all decide together what is acceptable versus unacceptable and this will actually change with time as humanity evolves. For example the Romans used to feed prisoners to lions for public entertainment. Obviously, that is no longer acceptable today. The future humans will probably find it unacceptable the way we treat our planet and that we extract natural resources from the Earth for energy. So you see humanity is evolving overtime.

Some may say that our world is a disaster today. I believe that the collapse of the old systems are currently just beginning. You can't create a new and better Earth on old corrupt systems. The old archaic systems built on corruption need to collapse in order to create a new Earth. I believe this is what is starting to happen and humanity will prevail, I just think it's going to be a bumpy road. I'm hoping to see a golden age on Earth before I leave this incarnation.

Lyssa Royal Holt's book, The Golden Lake is a channeled book that provides teachings by our galactic friends to help with humanity's ascension. The book says the following, "If and when you encounter darkness, remember the Sirian formula. Darkness has no power unless you give it your power. Darkness is merely a shadow that represents your blockages obscuring the One light. While it is easy to believe darkness is outside you, it never is, but you might see it embodied in others as a reminder to look within."

Initially when I started this spiritual path, I thought the goal was to be a perfect spiritual being but now I can see that's not the end goal. The universe is purposely setup with duality to learn and grow through the dark and the light. The goal is to flow in and out of the light and dark and to stay a few notches above. To feel our feelings of grief, anger, frustration and let them flow through us, not to hold onto them. If we can feel our feelings and release them then we can stay in the light. When we repress emotions or hold onto low vibe feelings is when we start to dim our lights. Basically we need to surrender, allow feelings to flow through, and ride the waves. Swimming against the current is a whole lot more effort then flowing with the current.

This is a lot to take in, I get it. It's a complex topic. To summarize, there exists the dark and the light in a human life, it's unavoidable. We all flow in and out of the light and the dark throughout our lives. But overall I believe we can stay in the light by releasing emotions when they come up and using tools that work best for us. We need to find our inner peace even when surrounded by the storms of chaos. This is the dance, this is the beauty of the human walk, to forget who we are, and then return to remembrance.
