Do We Need To Manifest?

I'm going to share an example of manifestation that actually happened this week. I took my three year old to Hobby Lobby on Monday to buy stickers. For some reason everyone in Columbus was at Hobby Lobby at 11am on a Monday, very weird I know. I considered leaving but my son really likes stickers right now. We grabbed the stickers and the lines were so crazy long, maybe 15 people deep per register and there were three registers going. If you've ever been to Hobby Lobby the registers are really slow as well. I stood there with a three year old thinking, why is this happening to me. I had a response in my head, the voice in my head said to send light and good vibes to these people. I could have become upset, frustrated, and anxious about the long lines but I decided to make the best of the situation. I focused on gratitude since it's the easiest way to increase one's vibration. In my head I said something I'm thankful for and I started to feel my energy brighten around me. As I increased my vibe, I visualized another register opening and pictured myself moving up in line. In about a minute, a register actually opened up. My son and I moved to that register and we were about four people back. Then another register opened right next to us and we were at the front checking out. We were only standing in line for a few minutes. Wow I thought, that actually worked. I realize this example may sound silly and people may say that this is all coincidence but when things like this start to happen frequently, it becomes noticeable.

Manifestation has never been a key focus for me. I actually found the topic overwhelming and there are so many teachers out there talking about it that I sort of avoided it. However, it became a natural step in my journey. I started to notice that what I would think about would start to happen. Based on my own research, I know that humans have the ability to manifest since we have an energetic component. Yes, thoughts and intentions have the power to create reality. Actually, intention affecting results is scientifically proven, you can read more about that on the IONS website (https://noetic.org/). The results may be a bit slower to come about or a smaller impact since we exist in these dense bodies, but intention is scientifically proven.

This is also called the law of attraction, like attracts like. Some teachers will say “energy flows where intention goes” or “thoughts become things”. It’s a law of energy, a law of the universe we live in. This law doesn’t have prejudice on who you are, it just is. All humans can use this law to their advantage.

The way this all works is that if we spin on negative thoughts we continue to pull in those negative situations. For example if we dislike our job and we just obsess about how much we dislike it, we are sort of stuck in that negativity because what we focus on, basically continues to happen. If we break the thought patterns and picture what we want in a dream job and how it would make us feel then we attract that positive energy to us like a magnet. For example, picture what it feels like to have financial freedom, the ability to work from the comfort of your home in order to eat healthier food, the joy of flexibility so that you have time to exercise, etc, etc. You would picture yourself happily working from home, excited to do your job, finding time for exercise, and living a healthy lifestyle. You can see how this sends intention and positive energy out which will be returned. It may not happen tomorrow but will happen over time. What people don’t realize is that when they obsess about the things they don’t like about their life, they are just attracting that negative energy back to them.

Another important point is victim mentality. People that struggle with big challenges as children or young adults may see themselves as victims and victim mentality is one of the lowest vibrations. It becomes really easy to spin in victim mentality and blame everyone and everything for all our challenges. As we get older, it's really important to seek therapeutic help to resolve those emotional issues from childhood because if we see ourselves as a victim, we will continue to attract experiences where we feel like a victim. For example if someone says, "My life has been hell", guess what, your life will continue to be hell because you are putting those words out into the universe and words are energy. You will become a magnet for more "hellish" experiences. This may sound harsh or can be triggering but it's important for people to understand this key principle in our universe. For people that struggle with this, I would really suggest Julie Poole's books or listening to her on podcasts. Poole was a victim of sexual abuse as a child and she explains that she really worked through the emotions of her experience using different therapeutic modalities to forgive her abuser. She says that anything and everything can be forgiven. She also explains in her books that it's important to understand the soul's journey and why we have such challenging experiences. Her books are called Moving Past the Past and From Hoping to Having.

This topic is also really important in regards to relationships. We attract people based on our energetic frequency. This includes friendships as well. If we are in a low vibration and don't love ourselves, then we will attract people that are unkind to us. This is why it's really important for people to do the work on themselves and get to a place of self love before finding a partner. Once we are in a place of self love, we will attract people and relationships that love and support us as much as we love and support ourselves. I often hear spiritual teachers say that once they started raising their vibration, unhealthy friendships naturally dropped away. Learning to love oneself may actually be life long work for some people. The soul may want to focus on self love as a lesson so if a person doesn't find their one true partner in life, that's okay. It may be part of the soul's learning and growth for that incarnation. As we look back at our relationships, we will likely find that we attracted people that were in a similar energetic vibration to ourselves at that time.

When we manifest, it's really important to be in a higher vibration. This is why spiritual teachers always suggest focusing on gratitude because it's an easy way to raise your vibration. We can always find something to be thankful for, clean drinking water, shelter to keep us warm, and the clothes on our back. Hence, even if we are having a bad day, focusing on gratitude can still lift us up. As we raise our vibration, it becomes easier to manifest. This has to do with energy, the less physically dense we are, the easier we manifest. For example when we are back in spirit form, what we think happens right away since we are in a purely energetic form. The denseness of our physical bodies actually slows down the manifestation process. But perhaps this is a good thing since many people don't have control of their thoughts. In addition, focusing on high vibe emotions and visualizations is the suggested way to manifest. For example, instead of saying I want money to buy a new car to impress people, you would picture and visualize financial freedom and the feeling of comfort and safety of a new car. You see the difference in the two.

I started practicing manifestation with little things. Specifically, it began when I found out I needed to get my wisdom teeth out at the age of 41 years old. I was a bit nervous but figured this would be good practice for manifesting. I knew that the way manifestation works is that you have to feel the emotions and picture the outcome of what you want to happen. So I imagined laying in the dentist’s office and feeling my wisdom teeth slide right out. I imagined this a couple times the week before my appointment. I also said farewell to my wisdom teeth for good measure. When I went to the dentist that day, my wisdom teeth easily slid out and everything went well. My dentist said it was amazingly easy. Interesting I thought, it worked.

I practiced manifesting when I was driving. One time there was a long line of cars and traffic getting onto the highway, I pictured my car easily maneuvering through the traffic and getting into the fast lane to continue on with my trip. I felt the emotion of easily driving through gaps of traffic. It actually happened as I pictured. A car was moving slowly and created a gap so I easily got onto the highway, there were then gaps in traffic in the next couple lanes and I easily pulled into the fast lane to continue on. When I took my kids to the zoo, the parking lot was full. I pictured the ease of finding a parking spot right in front and parking close to the zoo. It worked again.

You can see that these are small things but a good way to start to see the impact of thoughts. This also means I need to be very careful about my thought process and try to keep negative thoughts at bay. If I start to cycle a negative thought, I try really hard to get back to a place of gratitude, focusing on the little things I’m grateful for. As I’ve moved further along in my journey, I wonder if manifestation is really about clearing out the old belief systems that don’t serve us, controlling our thoughts, and getting into a routine of being present, living in gratitude, and being positive. Then we can follow our own intuition and better stay connected with our higher self.

When we do experience challenges and difficult moments, the key is not to focus and spin on the negative but ask, why is this happening? When we ask questions like this from a place of curiosity, we get an answer. We may not get an answer right away, but we get an answer in time. That has been my experience. We will always hit challenging experiences in our life, we can’t get away from that fact on this planet. And I’m not saying that we should ever ignore feelings of anger, grief, sadness, and frustration, we should certainly feel those feelings. However, we shouldn’t stay in that place of anger, grief, sadness, and frustration. We should feel those feelings, try to understand them, and get back to a place of neutrality, and then gratitude and positivity.

The soul does have a high level blueprint of the life so we can't avoid challenges. However, the soul also leaves room in the plan for free will. This is part of the fun for the soul, to use our free will to move along different paths. Since we have this free will, we may as well use it to create positive experiences for ourselves and live in a place of light. I talk about this concept of the soul plan vs free will vs manifestation in blog post The Soul Plan vs Free Will vs Manifestation.

I never set out to write a blog, and now I'm writing a book about all these spiritual and galactic topics. I just started out open and curious, and I kept following my excitement. I started meditating and clearing out my belief systems, fears, and anxieties. I then started to focus on gratitude for what I did have everyday. I was thankful for my spirit guides, the angels, the loved ones on this journey with me, my dog, the stars, and the trees. I realized I could always find something to be thankful for even on challenging days. I realized that I was on a path and it felt right. This is actually what Darryl Anka channels, I shared his channeling on how to find one's purpose in this post here. He explains that everyone can find their path by being open, curious, and finding a little time for their passions. He says to start out small if you need to and pursue what you are excited about. As we pursue what excites us, we should try to release what no longer serves us.

Perhaps once we get on this path, we no longer need to manifest. We have good habits of gratitude, controlling our thoughts, meditation to connect with our higher self and guides, and we are more excited about our days. We can then be our true and real Selves and we are on a path for the greatest good. When this happens, I believe that what we need actually falls in our laps and we are living in a different reality. We are no longer in survival mode but we are connected to our higher selves and following a path of purpose. Then when a challenge does come up we know it's in our soul plan for the learning. We are open and curious as to why the challenge is happening, feel the pain, and let it pass through us. Humans were never meant to live in survival mode and obsess about the pitfalls of our lives. We were never meant to hold onto low vibrational feelings, we were meant to feel them and release them.

To summarize, the key is to understand the law of attraction which says like attracts like, work on releasing the belief systems that no longer serve us, and to create better habits to bring up our vibe. Spiritual teachers will sometimes call this "being in the flow" of the universe because we are following a path, purpose, and riding the waves, instead of fighting and resisting against what is. This is all easier said than done of course. No one thinks this is easy. That's the point, this is all a challenge for the growth and evolution of our soul. Perhaps as we work on this one day at a time it all becomes easier.
