A Deaf Past Life and Sound Therapy

About a year ago I met with a very talented intuitive, Jen Bushman. She told me I had a spirit guide named Shema. At that time, I was only aware of my main guide so Shema was new to me. After the session I looked up the name Shema and it means "to listen" or "to hear" in Hebrew. This had me curious so I met with the very talented Channeler, Stephanie and asked if she could channel this guide for me to see what he had to tell me. Below was the channeling:
"Love love love love love that’s it, that’s all I am here to share. I do not need to be one who is of teacher essence. I do not need to be one to light the path, you are capable. I am here for love, love, love, love love and that comes from a very deep place, a very deep crystalline pool within you that is wanting to gather all of that up. Submerge yourself in it so that you have even more. And yes, to listen because that is a sensory system for you that is profoundly useful. You’ve honed that system of yours for a while. You have gone through lifetimes where you have been deaf. Yes totally, completely deaf. Not able to perceive even a warning siren in your ears. That’s when I came to assist you. You have needed more help when you have chosen to hone a sensory system that has been absent for you in a lifetime. That’s how one hones it after all. The other senses do become more acute, but there's something that also happens when one has chosen a lifetime to have that sense absent, it becomes more acute. I am here to share in that with you. I am here to remind you that you are no longer deaf my dear sister. You are no longer deaf, you can hear it all. There are murmurings, music, string quartets, brass instruments, and healings that come through the crystal bowls. I am saying this to entice you more into the auditory healing that is here for you. Go ahead, indulge and engage. You will be cleared and cleansed of so much through the use of these ears of yours. There is indeed clogging that occurs. Watch out for the clogging of lies, the clogging of non-truths. All of this can be made whole again through your sensory system of listening, hearing, sensing like this. I am here, you are here, and here we are."
This channeling led me to research sound healing. I decided to take a course on the Shift Network, focused on the science behind sound therapy to better understand it. The course teacher is John Stuart Reid, an acoustic-physics scientist that invented the CymaScope. The CymaScope provides the ability to see sound. This is an important new field called Cymatics, which can be used in medicine and science. For example the ability to see the sound of healthy cells vs cancer cells. In the course, John explains that sound is the creation of all life. There's actually a scientific paper by Mark Whittle describing how sound structured the early universe. John also shares the different shapes created by sound, for example the sacred sound of OM creates a pentagon shape which represents the golden ratio. Very interesting, I know!
One of the key take-aways from the class was to understand how sound can heal pain. Chronic pain can be defined as pain which has lasted for more than three to six months. We all know the dangerous side-effects to opioids which are currently used to treat long-term pain. John says that there are studies where sound is providing the same benefits as opioid use without the side-effects. He provides some interesting devices and therapies for sound healing:
KKT device - Offers low frequency sound therapy for spinal injuries
Sonopuncture - uses sound waves to stimulate acupuncture points
AMI 850 device - has different channels with specific frequencies to address areas in the body, developed by Cyma Technologies.
Therapeutic use of tuning forks - see Tuning the Human Biofield by Eileen Day McKusick.
Novafon - Relieves minor aches and pains.
Physioacoustic and Vibroacoustic sound therapy - utilize low-frequency sound vibrations to address various health conditions.
OPUS SoundBed - Bed that includes vibroacoustic technology. Think of future hospital beds including this therapy.
I found the below picture from the Cyma Technologies website which sells the AMI 850 device: (https://cymatechnologies.com/ami-devices/new-ami-devices/)

Another interesting fact is that music boosts the immune system. Chronic fear and stress cause the human immune system to be deficient. We all deal with constant fear-mongering by news, tv, movies...basically all media. However, music counteracts fear. I'll quote John from his lecture, "While pharmaceutical sedatives are routinely prescribed to mediate stress and fear, music produces a very similar outcome without medication. Full-body immersion in beautiful music bathes your body in a myriad of sonic frequencies that have both physiological and psychological benefits."
All beautiful music and sound is good for the body. Below was a quote from John's class, "All music, regardless of concert pitch, returned excellent results, and popular music outshone the results for classical music because classical music lacks the throbbing bass beat of popular music, which resembles heart beats, thereby enhancing the ability of hemoglobin molecules to absorb oxygen." I included John's list of healing music that he recommended at the bottom of this post.
John also spoke about binaural beats. Binaural beats are different sound frequencies created in each ear. For example, music with 100 hertz is played in one ear, while the other ear is hearing music that's been slightly shifted in frequency to 104 hertz. Robert Monroe developed and patented a binaural-beat technology called Hemi-Sync. There are so many benefits to hemi-sync meditations, I'll reference a few: stress reduction, pain management, better sleep, enhanced memory, and improved creativity. Hemi-sync meditations are also being used for children with disabilities which facilitates improved focus of attention, emotional calming, and sensory organization. I personally use the Monroe Institute's meditation app called Expand to meditate. It's great, it has many different meditations to choose from. You can read my blog post on meditation where I discuss binaural beats and how I meditate.
After Stephanie channeled my guide, she recommended I go to a place that focuses on sound therapy. I found one called The Sound Room at Polaris and it's amazing. They have a sound therapy session for $50 where you lay on a bed and the wonderful person that works there plays gongs, crystal bowls and all kinds of beautiful sounds with different frequencies. My husband fell asleep, which I think means he enjoyed it. I fell in love with this place and will be back. I hope you find this as fascinating as I do and consider listening to more music and meditations to engage in the healing qualities of sound.
