Meeting Deceased Loved Ones and Pets in Meditation

During the last three years as I continued to meditate, I started to notice that I would frequently go to a park. The park in my meditation has really green grass that seems alive like it's blowing in the wind and a very blue sky. It's very bright and sunny. Since I lay down in bed during meditation, I usually go to the park and lay down in the grass and enjoy the sunlight.

Sometimes I'll get a visit from spirit guides, relatives, and my dog that are in the spirit realm. For example, during one meditation my spirit guide walked up to me while I was laying in the grass to say hi and talk. Then my dog, Gabe that passed away last year ran up and jumped on me like a dog would when he sees his loved one. When this happened, I noticed that my physical body on my bed felt the warm loving energy of my dog as if I was in a cloud of love. I have often seen my dog in my meditations but that was the first time I felt the energy physically.

There are times when I've walked through the park with my spirit guides. Sometimes we walk along a path, through a magical open forest of trees that lead to a calm beach where we sit down and meet. My guides sometimes show up to me in human form. I'm still not clear if the human form they choose is the way they looked when we were incarnated together in a past life. Lately, I see my main guide as a big purple energy sphere next to me.

I have also met with my grandparents as well at the park. It's as if they are stopping by just to say hi and give me a hug. I know they are in joy and bliss in the spirit realm so it's more like a "hi, I miss you, I love you" type of reunion. I know my grandparents check in with my family and they are also busy with their stuff in the spirit realm as well. There was one occasion when I was having a tough day. I was meditating and my deceased grandmother gave me a hug and said to me, "I'm still your grandmother". That was a really nice experience and very unexpected.

I also had a meditation where I introduced my kids to my grandparents since they didn't meet all my kids before they passed and my grandparents said, "we already know them" basically to say they check in on us. Sometimes my grandparents look young and sometimes they are a little older like in their 50s. I don't think it matters, they can change their form into whatever they want. The form a soul shows up in is more of a way for them to communicate something. If they show up young they are telling you, hey look, I'm happy, healthy, and I'm great. If they are showing up older they may want to make sure you recognize them.

My husband's grandmother transitioned to the spirit realm and the day after her passing, I was meditating and right away I saw a vision of her. She was at a pool in the back of a house and she was swimming with her husband who is also in the spirit realm. She was waving at me, standing next to the pool while her husband was swimming. She looked like she was in her 30s or 40s and she was wearing a one piece floral bathing suit. She was extremely happy. I felt like she was showing me this because she wanted me to share with my husband. What was interesting was that I wasn't expecting to see her in my meditation and the vision surprised me a bit. I think when spirits transition, they will manifest a house out of energy that they liked on Earth. I also think that if one spouse transitions before another spouse, they manifest a house for the other spouse's homecoming. In this case, I think that my husband's grandfather manifested a house for his wife's homecoming since he transitioned first. I had a vision that he came to get her from her sleep and said, "Come on, it's time to go home".

Bilocation meditation is a form of meditation where you focus on your body and breathing until you are relaxed and then you focus your attention on a screen and create a scene with your imagination. Essentially, you are in two places at once, physically in the 3rd dimension meditating and also in the scene you create with your imagination. When we use our imagination, this opens up a space to meet with loved ones in the spirit realm. Then when we think about our loved ones, they will meet with us. Thinking about our loved ones creates a portal and then we just need to be open to their communication. This is how the higher dimensions work, basically when you think about something you can manifest it. There are guided meditations for bilocation meditation, I personally use the Monroe Institute's Expand app which has a guided bilocation meditation.

The Monroe Institute is a research and teaching organization that specializes in the study of consciousness. They have created what they call focus levels for the different levels of awareness we can experience in consciousness. The Monroe Institute actually talks about this park. Let me share an excerpt from their free pdf document that's on their website (Link here):

"Focus 27 - The Park - An afterlife area created by noncorporeal humans. Included are centers of activity providing for the needs of human beings in their continuing development in the afterlife, such as education, life review, healing and regeneration, planning, and many others."

Based on my research into near death experiences and out-of-body experiences, I believe the spirit realm has "space" for you to manifest your own reality but then it also has these constructs created by collectives or simply put, large groups of spirits. So essentially there are these very human "places" for spirits that just left a human incarnation. Note that I use the terms "space" and "places" loosely because the spirit realm isn't physical but I'm trying to use words to describe an energetic realm. On Earth, parks are peaceful, happy meeting places where humans come together so it makes sense that we would also meet with our loved ones in the spirit realm at a park. My understanding is that there are also cities in the spirit realm for spirits to gather, enjoy entertainment and meet each other just as we do. For example, out-of-body experiencer Garnet Schulhauser describes in his book "a beautiful white city with tall white buildings, domes and spires gleaming in the lights". I've also frequently heard of a crystal city, and then there is the akashic library which supposedly looks like a huge ornate library. Then of course, beings from other galactic worlds would have their own realms or dimensions where they return after an incarnation.

When I meditate, I don't think I'm going to a park for the collective. I believe I'm manifesting my own space to meet with my guides and loved ones. Can we go to these collective places like the cities or parks in the spirit realm via meditation? I think it's possible but the way the spirit realm works is that you can venture into the dimensions that match your energetic frequency. Those cities and places are in the 5th dimension and up so we have to be high vibe to be able to meditate and go there.

In regards to the communication, I find this to be the most challenging for me because communication with the spirit realm is different from talking to another person physically. Based on my research, communication in the spirit realm is telepathic so it's more of a knowing and a transfer of information through energy. This is why communication from spirit guides or loved ones may sound like thoughts in our head. So even if we don't think we are communicating, we may still be receiving information energetically.

In regards to how long the scene lasts and the details of the scene, my thought is that this has to do with the person meditating. When I first started meditating, my focus was on silencing my left brain, which I still practice daily. With time I became better at silencing my brain and this park scene started to open up for me. I also notice that I am going into a deeper meditative state, the longer I practice. I think that this is just like exercising where it takes practice. It's certainly a work in progress for me since I predominantly used my left brain for 37 years so now I'm trying to balance myself better. Lately when I meditate, I'm just feeling this amazing sphere of loving energy around me.

I used to say the phrase "maybe it was just my imagination" but I've stopped saying that because I've realized imagination is a good thing. Now I say, maybe it was my monkey brain because that's more the issue with humans, in that we let our left brain get carried away. Humans need to use their imagination and creativity more in my opinion, we should be balanced using both sides of the brain.

When I first started on this path a couple years ago, I often questioned if this is real which is a totally reasonable question to ask. I have had enough experiences now where I don't doubt the information that I have shared in my blog. Since I know that the spirit realm exists, I'm not too worried about getting evidence during meditation but it's more exploration for me now.

My spirit guide once told me during a channeling that we only need to touch into the light from time to time. Here is what he said, "When you are in your state of coherence there is smoothness. Imagine running your fingers over the warmest and coolest of waters, smooth and gliding, soothing to the fingertips, reflective of light, and of imagery, and of beauty. And that, what you can imagine, is the state you are touching into, not sustaining really, but touching into, but it does not need to be sustained for there to be success, it only needs to be touched and felt even momentarily for there to be this smoothness." To summarize, we don't need to meditate for long periods to stay connected to our true selves or spirit, we just need to touch into it from time to time and remember that we are at school here for a short time and then we go back to our true home.
