What is God / Source?

There are near death experience accounts of those that have "met" Source (God, Creator...whatever name you like) in the Spirit Realm and it is often explained that Source shows up the way you need it to. If you want to see Source as an old man with a beard that’s how He will show up, if you want to see Source as a woman then that’s how you will see Her, if you want something bigger, there will be something bigger. This makes total sense to me, of course an infinite all powerful energy can show up in whatever form it likes.
I’ll share some excerpts about God / Source from my research:
In Erik Medhus’s book, My Life After Death, he details his meeting with God: “I didn’t see anyone walking up, saying, Hey, what’s up? but I did see this fog.....no, I don’t want to call it that. It was more like textured air. It was nice that She didn’t come to me looking like a human. God came to me in the form of pure light and energy, so it was kind of like, You get it. You understand. This is the Truth. God could have shown up as really anything: a telephone, a chair, a dog, anything I wanted Her to be. But what I wanted was truth, whatever that looked like. In that meeting I learned that God is the energy that creates and connects everything. She’s like a collective consciousness that’s coming from everywhere. She’s All That Is.”
Near death experiencer Amber Cavanagh describes God in the following way in her book: "When I had my NDE and went to the Other Side, I experienced a higher energy, a presence that was overseeing everything with love. I call it God, you might call it something else. The name is not important. What I experienced had no face, had no human form. It simply emanated from everything and everyone, every animal, every part of nature, everything I could see or feel. All life is created by this God energy and everything is intrinsically connected to it. And as God creates life, it also gives our higher selves the ability to create life too."
In an interview by George Noory on Gaia Streaming App, Channeler and spiritual medium Sheila Gillette reveals her personal journey, sharing her near-death experience and visitation from Jesus in 1969. This experience awakened her channeling ability as the voice of the twelve Archangels known as the THEO group. During the interview, George Noory asks the question, what is God? The Archangels respond, “God is a solid state of unconditional love”.
In the book Journey of Souls, Dr. Michael Newton says below about the concept of Source:
"To many of my clients the Presence seems not to be a 'who' but that which 'is'".
Anita Moorjani is a near death experiencer that wrote the book, Dying To Be Me. Anita says the following: "The universe makes sense! I realized. I finally understand....I know why I have cancer! I was too caught up in the wonder of that moment to dwell on the cause, although I'd soon examine it more closely. I also seemed to comprehend why I'd come into this life in the first place...I knew my true purpose. Why do I suddenly understand all this? I wanted to know. Who's giving me this information? Is it God? Krishna? Buddha? Jesus? And then I was overwhelmed by the realization that God isn't a being, but a state of being...and I was now that state of being!"
Elaine Thorpe is a renowned trance channel in the UK. While she was channeling her spirit guide, she said the following about God, "What you call God is not a man with a crown and a saber sitting in a chair, no it's not that at all. You stand in front of absolute light emanating such love, such power beyond human comprehension, it's light emanating almost like the center of a flower. All the Souls come out of that energy and go back into it, it's beautiful. You have to give something of an identification in your world so you've named that as God, but that is just minuscule for that being because it's so enlarged, so encompassing that it's beyond description."
Raymond Moody wrote the book Life After Life which details out his study of near death experiences. In his more recent book called God Is Bigger Than the Bible, he says the following, "In panoramic life reviews, people view the details of their lives through the lens of love - God's love. Many revisit their lives in the presence of a bright light - a personal being composed of light - or love. In that transcendent state, they say, the light is identical with sheer, indescribable love and compassion. They identify the personal being of light as God, or Christ, or an angel. The identifying word varies from individual to individual depending partly, it seems on their religious, spiritual or cultural traditions. Even so, whatever identifying term they use, their descriptions converge. They encounter a divine being of light of complete compassion who knows everything about them and loves them totally and completely. Everyone says that the love they felt from the light of God surpassed anything that we experience as love in this life. And the contrast between God's love and love experienced in this world is too great to be described, or put into words."
In the book, We the Arcturians, God is explained in the following way: "You are right that there are many concepts of God, but not all of them explain the power that belongs to the oneness of God. God is the force that is present throughout all the universe. God is the Light of this world and all worlds. It is the intelligence of the universes, and is centered in the Great Central Sun. In this position it is the center of All that is. The Great Central Sun is the expression of the focal point of all that there is. It is the force that propels, stores, houses, emits, and elicits all other forms of energy within itself. It is like the generator of the universe, which is consciousness itself."
In the book, Channeled Messages from Deep Space, it says the following, "Therefore, it is Source that is at the essence of all creation, and as such, all creation is connected as vibrational frequency back to Source. All conscious beings are gifted with the sense of will which is designed so that they can experience that sense of creation that is at the essence of Source and we are able to decide what to do with that gift. As the origin and fundamental essence of all things, Source is ever present and continually involved in the act of manifestation through its own handiwork. We are not only connected to Source, we ARE Source in all of its infinite forms."
I think in order to understand Source it will help to review the concept of Oneness. The concept of Oneness says that everything comes from one Source which means everything is interconnected. However, this concept didn't fully hit me until I read a paragraph in the book, The Great Awakening by Mike Dooley. The channeler in the book Lyssa Holt, says to take a holographic picture of an apple and rip it up. Each torn piece is the complete image of the apple (not a piece of the apple). You can continue to rip up the pieces smaller and smaller and each piece is still the full picture of the apple. "Every piece is a fractal of the original holographic pattern. Consciousness is exactly the same. So when we say there is really only one consciousness in creation that is meant literally using the metaphor we've just talked about. You are like the image of the complete apple. You, as individual beings, are like little fractals of the One, like the little pieces that appear to be torn away."
Darryl Anka, a renowned channel explains the concept of Oneness and why Source created us, I'll summarize what he says on his series from the Gaia Streaming App:
Scientists today are exploring a unified theory of physics which says that all different physical phenomenon has to have a single origin, different aspects of one single thing. If you start with the concept that everything is an expression of one thing, what is that one thing? God, Creator, Source..whatever name you like. So why did this Source create us? Darryl explains that the idea of Self can only exist if there is an idea of other than self. There is a portion of the One that experiences itself as others in order to have a self identity. We are the reflection, the creative expression of the One, experiencing and reflecting back to itself.
So to summarize, what I've gathered from the books and research I've done is that Source is many things:
Source tends to be described as an energy source so all encompassing and loving that we can't comprehend with a human brain.
There seems to be "an expression" of the Source or a central location in a high dimension where the Source gives "birth" to new souls and creations. I've heard this consistently called the Great Central Sun.
The "Light" in the Spirit Realm is described as alive and as the Source so I think of the "Light" as rays of sunshine made of loving energy.
In the higher realms, Source is described as a state of being.
Each Soul or creation of the Source is a holographic image of the Source. Every Soul is a mirror back to the Source.
Very interesting right?
